Who is Anne Tucker? I grew up in the Nelson region on an extended family owned orchard and completed my schooling at Nelson College for Girls. My interest in a nursing career led me to Christchurch, Auckland and back to Nelson. In 1981 I joined the NZ Motor Corporation as an Occupational Health Nurse.
With my continued interest in ‘prevention rather than cure’ I moved to Wellington to join the Alcohol Advisory Council (ALAC) in 1985 where I worked as an Industry Consultant providing support and policy advice to organisations. We also provided contracted counselling services to those organisations and employees where assistance was given for alcohol related problems.
In 1991 I started the business Stratos Limited which I owned for 15 years. Stratos provided counselling, consultancy and training services to Australasian businesses. Stratos continues to grow and prosper under the guidance of its new owner.
I now live in Nelson with my husband and enjoy being close to our extended families. We regularly travel to Europe to catch up with family and grandchildren.
I continue to be involved in the national and international TA community and am in the process of my study to become a Teaching and Supervisory Transactional Analyst.
