Diploma in Developmental TA   (This course will commence in 2011)

This is a two year course and is 50% of the Certified TA qualification.  The Diploma is commenced once the Certificate is completed.

Diploma in Developmental TA Professional Qualification

Those seeking formal qualification as transactional analysis coaches, consultants, educators, trainers, etc.
Note: will contribute 50% of TA requirement for CTA.
Certificate is pre-requisite for Diploma although study for both may be in parallel

250 hrs overall study time comprising:
75 hrs training
10 hrs supervision
100 hrs application
65 hrs professional development
4000 word theoretical essay
4 portfolios aligned to modules
The Diploma is conferred by the International Centre for Developmental TA (ICDTA)
develop the ability to evaluate, compare and critique theoretical frameworks in order to draw upon and choose from a wide range of potential interventions
develop an awareness of research methodologies in order to interpret and critique research studies and other reports about the efficacy of TA
increase cultural awareness and the ability to perceive their area of specialism in a broader perspective
related to the core modules as a whole and to the previous experience and intended career options of the individual student
designed to develop knowledge, understanding and application in specific fields of personal, professional and organisational development

Diagnosing, selecting, planning and implementing appropriate range of TA concepts in one of the 3 fields of application, combining TA and other approaches, critiquing what done

Consulting, Counselling & Facilitating
How change occurs at individual, group and organisational levels, contrasting TA with other approaches

Learning, Teaching & Training
Learning by children and adults, philosophies of education and training, principles of learning, contrasting TA with other approaches

Work Skills
Work skills such as leadership, time management, problem solving and decision making, creativity and innovation, contrasting TA with other approaches

Research
Research methods, qualitative and quantitative research, process and outcome research, critical reviews, research within TA and comparable research elsewhere, establishing and conducting research studies
